Bangladesh Localizing the SDGs: An Innovative Community-led Approach

After fine-tuning development strategies, The Hunger Project (THP) is supporting rural communities to accomplish the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through the help and creativity of the Bangladeshi people, the country was prosperous in achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Now, the ever-evolving and advancing state continues their progress in development with the SDGs. These regenerated set of goals are ambitious and challenging, but prove to be highly rewarding for Bangladesh. While the country simultaneously works diligently for SDG completion, they also face automation, climate change, confrontational politics, corruption, governance failure, growing violence, and institutional weaknessess. Though the future progress is eminently threatened by such challenges, Bangladesh can achieve SDGs with cooperative institutions, communities collaborating, and good governance to ensure and enhance environmental sustainability.
