In response to student demands, 56 schools took proactive steps to promote girls’ participation in outdoor sports, recognizing their role in building confidence, leadership, and well-being. Schools introduced football, cricket, handball, volleyball, and badminton, supported by infrastructure improvements to ensure safe play areas. Through 56 strategic meetings with School Management Committees, youth units, and head teachers, schools fostered an enabling environment by organizing extracurricular activities, allocating separate sports fields, and providing necessary equipment. As a result, girls’ participation in outdoor sports has steadily increased, enhancing their physical, mental, and social development. This initiative not only promotes inclusivity but also empowers girls, fostering a culture of active learning and engagement.
