Lesson learnt sharing session held in Mymensingh on ` MDG Unions: Building participatory democracy From the Bottom Up in rural Bangladesh’

Elected representatives, Government officials, Animators, Women leaders, Youth volunteer, Grass-root researchers, D03CC, NGCAF & BNN leaders have shared the best practices and challenges what has come before them in playing their roles under the two years long project (MDG Unions: Building participatory democracy From the Bottom Up in rural Bangladesh) implemented jointly by The hunger project- Bangladesh & BRAC and funded by UN democracy fund (UNDEF) in 10 Unions of Mymensingh and Tangail District.The lesson learnt sharing session held in the 13th October’14 at Zela Parishad Auditorium specially with the participants from five Unions in Mymensingh. The session was presided by Dr. Badiul Alam Majumder, Country Director and Global Vice- President of The hunger project and the Deputy Commissioner of Mymensingh was chaired in chief. Upazela Chairman, UNO and Upazela vice- chair (female) were also present as special guests. A total of 45 numbers of journalists were also present and asked various questions to all related to the project.
